What is the check-in process?

Ridgeback RV operates with complete self-service check-in, providing 24/7 arrival flexibility without staff interaction. Upon reservation, you'll receive an email with your gate access code and detailed arrival instructions. Simply drive to the front gate at 1663 Blalock Road, enter your code on the keypad, and the gate opens automatically.

How does site selection work?

Once through the gate, drive through the resort to select any available site that suits your preferences. All 51x12 ft concrete pad sites offer identical premium amenities with full 20/30/50 amp electrical, water, and sewer hookups. Park your RV and connect to utilities at your chosen location—every pedestal is powered for immediate electricity access.

Can I arrive without a reservation?

While traditional walk-ups aren't accepted due to gate security requirements, you can make instant reservations through our website using your phone. Within moments of booking, you'll receive your gate access code via confirmation email, allowing immediate entry. This system ensures 24/7 arrival flexibility while maintaining resort security.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in begins at 12:00 PM, though our self-service system allows arrival anytime after that hour. Check-out is strictly 11:00 AM to ensure site availability for incoming guests. Guests who haven't arrived within 24 hours of their scheduled check-in without prior arrangements forfeit their reservation as a no-show.

  • All sites are back in.
  • Sites accommodate RVs up to 51 feet including tow vehicles.
  • Concrete pads are approx. 12 ft wide with additional adjacent gravel/grass surfaces.
What utilities are available?
  • Every site has power, water, sewer hookups at the rear.
  • On-site dumpster for household trash
  • Laundry and Showers open 7am to 10pm daily in the Clubhouse.
  • Night lighting for improved evening navigation
Do you provide WiFi?

We're happy to provide free gigabit WiFi for all guests! Rideback RV has ATT fiber gigabit internet service and commercial grade WiFi Routers. Our internet service is generally very reliable, though we're unable to offer refunds or rate adjustments for any temporary connectivity issues.

Where do I park additional vehicles?
  • All vehicles must fit entirely in the designated site and not extend into roadways.
  • We generally have no overflow parking available due to limited space in this dense urban location.
Are there limitations on pets?
  • Two pets per site maximum. Exceptions may be considered for pets that remain exclusively inside your RV. Call for approval regarding additional pets.
  • All pet breeds welcome; aggressive animals causing disturbances must be removed immediately.
Are tents allowed?
  • Tent camping is welcome on concrete pads at standard rates with electric hookup access.
Is dry camping available?
  • Dry camping welcome on full-hookup sites at standard rates.
Do you have a dump station?
  • Guests are welcome to dump at the full hookups in their campsite. Due to our dense urban locaiton, we do not have a separate dump station, and cannot offer dump services to non-guests.
Where is the closest public dump station?

  • Guests are allowed four visitors per site per day.
  • All visitors must register at office during office hours.
  • Overnight guests count toward 6-person site limit.
  • Guests may park within your site only.
Are campfires allowed?
  • Wood and propane fires are prohibited.
  • Manufactured propane grills in your campsite are allowed.

Is Ridgeback RV located in a safe area?

Ridgeback RV is situated in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by Churches on three sides and bordered on all four sides by established residential neighborhoods, providing a peaceful environment.

What safety measures are in place?

Entry to the park is controlled by an always-closed gate system. Each guest receives an entry code at check-in, which is required to open the gate and drive into the campground. In addition, security cameras monitor the outdoor areas of the campground.

How is the campground lit at night?

Overhead lighting illuminates the entire campground throughout the night, making it easy and safe to walk to restrooms or laundry facilities at any hour.

What happens if there is a power outage?

Ridgeback RV has a 100-kilowatt generator ready for installation soon, that will ensure continued comfort and power for guests during weather-related outages, including hurricanes.

Are there any additional safety guidelines?

All guests must observe a 5 MPH speed limit within the park. Fireworks, drones, and open fires are prohibited. Aggressive pets must be removed immediately, and all visitors must register at the office during office hours.

What if my RV needs repairs?
  • Minor repairs are welcome with prior approval. For major work, we’re happy to recommend local shops experienced with large Class As and fifth-wheels. Please check with the office before starting any repairs to make sure everything meets park guidelines and keeps the park comfortable for everyone.
How do I handle mail/packages?
  • USPS mail can be held for general delivery at the US Post Office 1.5mi north of Ridgeback RV.https://ridgebackrv.com/faq/
  • FedEx packages may be arranged to be held for pickup at the FedEx Office Print & Ship Center 2mi away at I-10 and Bunker Hill.
